In the month of October, USO Rota enjoyed exciting collaborations! USO Rota’s 6th Birthday and the Special Delivery were two events that showcased their strong partnerships with the community.

USO Rota’s 6th Birthday: A Sweet Celebration

With six years of dedicated service and unwavering support, it was time to throw a celebratory bash like no other. USO Rota’s 6th Birthday was an event to remember. Volunteers and community partners came together make this day truly special. The air was filled with the irresistible scent of sizzling burgers and hotdogs as the BBQ was fired up. Sweet clouds of cotton candy delighted the senses, and a delicious cake was the cherry on top.

But what made the celebration truly extraordinary was the presence of our cherished triad and Logistics Consultancy Spain (LCS). Their attendance emphasized the unwavering support USO Rota receives from our community partners. Together, Lorenzo Fernandez and Captain Suarez shared the joy of the cake cutting ceremony. The success of this event was a testament to the dedication of our volunteers and the support of our community. Without them, this memorable day would not have been possible.

October also included a delightful Special Delivery event, which was designed to shower expecting and new mothers with love and support. This event was nothing short of magical, filled with fun games, prizes, and giveaways. Five community partners joined USO Rota in providing invaluable information to the expectant mothers during this “Little Pumpkin” baby shower. The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS), Red Cross, Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS), the OB Department, and Asbury Breastfeeding Counseling shared their expertise and offered support to the new parents. Each mother left the event with baskets brimming with goodies for their little ones, a reminder that the community is there to support them throughout their parenting journey.
