August: USO Rota's Back-to-School BBQ Bash

On August 15, 2024, USO Rota kicked off the school year with a fantastic Back-to-School BBQ Bash, bringing the community together for a day filled with food, fun, and family activities. With plenty of sunshine and smiles all around, it was the perfect way to celebrate the start of a new school year.

The event featured delicious BBQ favorites, including sizzling hotdogs and burgers, which were a hit with everyone. But the fun didn’t stop at the grill—kids and families enjoyed classic BBQ games like cornhole and tumbling blocks, adding a playful touch to the day.

USO Rota also made sure students were set for success with exciting school supply giveaways. From pencils and erasers to pencil pouches, the kids left ready to take on the classroom.

To top it all off, snow cones and cotton candy added a sweet treat to the mix. The snow cones were especially popular, offering a refreshing way to cool down and soak in the last few days of summer.

A special shoutout goes to the amazing USO volunteers who made this event possible. Their hard work and dedication ensured that everyone had a wonderful time, and we couldn’t have done it without them.
