The USO Rota team supported the epic Independence Day Freedom Festivals at Morón Air Base and Naval Station Rota this summer. The festivities started on Friday, June 30th, as USO Rota traveled to Morón Air Base, passing out a dazzling array of patriotic goodies. They also handed out glow-in-the-dark sticks, helping illuminate the night and adding to the festive atmosphere. But the fun didn’t end there! Volunteers made delicious snow cones for all to enjoy. USO Rota organized two rounds of a pie-eating contest to enhance the spirit of lively competition. The first round showcased the incredible talents of the kids. Then came the second round, where adults competed for the win. The First Sergeant emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious title with his astonishing pie-eating skills!

Building on the triumph of the Morón Air Base Freedom Fest, the USO Rota team rallied their energy to support the Independence Day celebration at Naval Station Rota on July 4th. Their booth featured patriotic tattoos, and dedicated volunteers helped apply them to eager participants. They distributed over 1500 temporary tattoos, allowing everyone to proudly display patriotism. At our USO Rota booth, we hosted a spin-the-wheel game, heightening the excitement and offering participants the chance to win other awesome patriotic swag. The celebrations continued with a thunderous roar as the rounds of pie-eating contests took center stage in Rota, creating a fun evening for all who participated.

USO Rota expresses their heartfelt appreciation to the Morón Air Base and Naval Station Rota communities for their infectious enthusiasm and unwavering spirit, making these Independence Day celebrations unforgettable moments of joy and patriotism.
