Volunteer of the Month - November 2022

Hey Rota community! Please help me congratulate Ashley Williams on becoming USO Rota’s November Volunteer of the Month!

Ashley has been a USO Rota volunteer since August of 2021 and has been an outstanding member of our team. She has accrued over 275 total volunteer service hours and was instrumental in our November holiday programming. On Thanksgiving Day Ashley not only cooked 6 pumpkin pies, but also helped the USO deliver slices of pie to those on duty. She has also assisted USO Rota in many other events such as Trivia, Homecomings, Kickball with NMCB 11 and was the lead for our latest MilSpouse event. Ashley’s favorite event to assist USO Rota with is Troop lunches. She states, “seeing their faces light up with the food and usually homemade treats was amazing to see. It’s the little things that brings them joy.”

Not only does Ashley support our events and programs but she is also an amazing Center Representative. No matter the task Ashley is willing to help where it is needed. Ashley enjoys volunteering with USO Rota because “she loves being around the most positive and supportive community. She knows that whenever she comes into the center to help for the day, that it’s going to be a fun day no matter what happens.” We are so happy you are on our team Ashley and congratulations again! This award is truly well deserved!
