Fright Night Family Bingo

Celebrating Halloween is a fun fall tradition that many military families miss out on when they live overseas. Because of this, USO Rota invited our active-duty service members and their families to participate in a spook-tacular Fright Night Family Bingo event.

Families were encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes to play 3 riveting rounds of Bingo; classic, picture frame, and finally, a blackout round. For the first round, one of our youngest participants in the group was very excited to win. Then during the second round, the winner who dressed up as the Joker could hardly contain his excitement when he shouted “Bingo!”

Awesome autumn-themed prizes were awarded to the lucky winners, which had goodies for both grown-ups and children. Some of the prizes included a cozy buffalo-check blanket for the cooler autumn days; a game of Phase 10 to play as a family; an adorable pie server to serve up some seasonal desserts, a big book of bedtime stories for families to read together, and a Halloween-themed cookie-decorating kit for families to bake up some ghoulish goodies! Lucky winners included a family of adorably wicked supervillains and a little ninja who scored a fantastic prize for his family!

Cheesy nachos, Halloween cupcakes, pumpkin spice lattes, and other tasty treats filled the bellies of superheroes, wizards, and their kin. Families had so much fun looking to see if their number was called, enjoying spooky fall vibes, and laughing at all the silly costumes of USO Volunteers. The night was a success and gave everyone pump-kin to talk about!
