Volunteer of the Quarter-Q1 2022

Please join us in congratulating our Volunteer of the Quarter for Q1 2022: Beverly Litz!

Beverly began volunteering with USO Rota in September 2020 and has accumulated over 210 hours. Beverly radiates joy and happiness every time you see her. Every event Beverly signs up for, she is memorable. She always wants to go the extra mile to ensure everyone feels loved and appreciated. One way she does this is by dressing up in costumes! For our Prince and Princess Party, Beverly dressed in an authentic Belle dress and took pictures with every single child at the event. They were mesmerized by the real-life princess in Rota! USO Rota often does food events, and Beverly is always the first person to volunteer to do cook for us at home. Beverly has cooked Chicken Tortilla Soup, White Chicken Chili, cupcakes and cookies! Beverly made over 500 cookies for our Operation Cookie Drop, including truffles, peanut butter chocolate chip, cranberry cookies, German Cookies, and Coconut Macaroons. She was also aware that service members have allergies and food restrictions, so she made vegan and gluten-free cookies. After spending over 15 volunteer hours baking, she was one of two volunteers who came on Christmas Day to deliver cookies around base.

We are so grateful for everything Beverly does for our community! She always makes a significant impact on any event she supports, demonstrating her dedication to the USO’s mission in everything she does.
