Memorial Day Ceremony and 24-hour Remembrance Walk

USO Rota is hosting a Memorial Day ceremony and then a 24-hour walk for the base. The ceremony will be in honor of all the lives lost and will be open to the entire base to attend. After the ceremony, a procession will be made to the base track to begin a 24-hour walk with 30 minute time slots for people, families, organizations, and commands to commit to. The goal is to keep the US flag moving for 24-hours straight. Hot dogs, snacks, and beverages will be provided to walkers to enjoy after their shift. This is a very important and impactful event, as it is one of the very few times every year that the American flag is able to be flown on base.
