Connecting Families One Program at a Time
What does family mean to you? Family is loving and supporting one another; it’s striving to be the best person you can be so that you may inspire your loved ones. Family is unrelenting, secure, and reliable. Family isn’t just important, it’s what is most important! USO Rota’s community of active duty and their families are why we are here.
The USO’s mission is to strengthen our service members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country throughout their service to the nation. USO Rota has a strong passion to motivate, strengthen, and invoke joy in our community. On a monthly basis, the USO Rota Team aims to illustrate our mission and support through our many different events and programs offered such as our Teddy Bear Club and our Kids Crafternoon.
The Teddy Bear Club program encourages parents with children ages 0-4 to participate in fun, interactive, and creative play. Our January event sparked inspiration in our little ones by bringing out their imagination to color their very own castles and crowns. After the craft, they were thoroughly engaged in a seasonal book read by one of our amazing volunteers.
Another beloved program of USO Rota’s is Family Game Night. The USO Team has the privilege of welcoming the whole family into the center for an evening filled with laughs, family bonding, and wonderful memories. Families connect with one another over a meal and friendly competitive games, such as Bingo, Jeopardy, Trivia, or Minute-To-Win-It.
It is with great pleasure that the USO Rota Team has the honor of providing programs to our service members and their families to encourage, support, and engage one another. Our priorities are committed to putting our active-duty military and their families first while bringing joy to their days. We are beyond thankful for our community and amazing volunteers who make our events and programs possible. It’s a huge collaboration and the USO Rota Team is always ready to help service members and their families connect to home and country, no matter the location.
