Volunteer of the Quarter-Q2 2022

Please join us in congratulating our Volunteer of the Quarter for Q2: Christy Thomas!

Christy began volunteering with the USO in August 2021 in the middle of Operation Allied Refuge (OAR), working multiple overnight flights and supporting USO Rota’s mission to provide snacks and coffee to the service members working. Since then, Christy has been an incredible asset to our volunteer community, volunteering for over 60 shifts, from early morning coffee events to our Teddy Bear Club to MilSpouse Events. She was a key contributor during our holiday season, supporting almost every event to help spread holiday cheer to commands and the community. Christy is always willing to do whatever we need, whether it is serving lunch to Veterans at our Vietnam Veterans Event or taking pictures of families reuniting at homecomings. She even helped us bring Easter to the Marines with an Easter Egg Hunt and Ice Cream Social! Christy is always there to help with a smile and positive attitude to ensure everyone who attends a USO Event has a wonderful experience.
